THEY LOVE MODI NOW, BUT WILL IT LAST?  After years of grumbling about India’s trade and intellectual property practices, U.S. business groups are sounding much more optimistic ahead of President Barack Obama’s visit to the world’s largest democracy, all due to one man — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

President Obama’s trip to New Delhi next week is further evidence of a partnership on the mend.”

Patrick Kilbride, executive director for international intellectual property at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, was equally upbeat, saying the U.S. business community has seen “a 180-degree change in the Indian government’s willingness to engage in a dialogue with the United States government” since Modi was inaugurated in May 2014.
